These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of 40 Carrot (the "App"), operated by Charlie Calotta Vocal LLC ("we," "us," or "our") at 40-carrot.app. By signing in to or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
40 Carrot has two access tiers. The Free tier is available to anyone who creates an account, and includes the full tabletop canvas, unit placement and terrain, measurement and dice, the manual unit builder, the built-in unit database, objectives and wound tracking, and mobile support. The Full Access tier includes all Free features plus the AI tactical advisor, snapshot recording and replay, the damage calculator, printable data cards, army import, cloud saves and backup, and extra themes.
Full Access is a paid upgrade: a $4/month subscription or a one-time $33 lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Polar.sh as our merchant of record, and your purchase is also subject to Polar's checkout terms. You can cancel the monthly subscription at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Your entitlement (plan, status, and expiry) is stored in our database. We may also grant Full Access on a complimentary basis at our discretion.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
You create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. Authentication is provided by Supabase, and only your basic profile (name and email) is used. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@40-carrot.app.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for your own tabletop wargaming practice and planning. You can use it for as much personal gaming as you want. You can record games, export data cards, and share screenshots of your own sessions with other people.
Anything you create inside the App, boards, armies, snapshots, notes, belongs to you. It lives in your browser's local storage, and — if you use cloud saves with Full Access — in our database so it can sync between your devices. If you clear your browser data and don't have cloud saves, you'll lose your saved content, and we have no way to recover it for you.
40 Carrot is a generic tabletop wargaming tool. Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, Games Workshop, and all associated logos, names, races, vehicles, and imagery are trademarks or registered trademarks of Games Workshop Limited. 40 Carrot is an unofficial, independently developed tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or specifically approved by Games Workshop.
Any unit data, rules references, or datasheets you import into the App are your responsibility to use lawfully.
We try to keep 40 Carrot running smoothly, but we don't guarantee it will be available at all times. We may take the App offline for maintenance, updates, or for reasons beyond our control. We may also change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Charlie Calotta Vocal LLC and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the greater of one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amount you have paid us for the App over the preceding twelve months.
You agree to indemnify and hold Charlie Calotta Vocal LLC harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, attempt to bypass authentication, or use the App in a way that causes harm to us or other users. You can stop using the App at any time; if you signed in with Google, you can also revoke the App's access through your Google Account permissions page.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify signed-in users the next time they open the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
